<image:title>Home - How does tobacco use cause lung cancer?</image:title>
<image:caption>Tobacco smoke contains thousands of chemicals and radioactive material of which at least 70 are carcinogens. Burning tobacco through products such as cigarettes causes these chemicals to be expelled into the air for individuals to inhale. These carcinogens destroy the lining of the lungs which then causes the lung tissue to alter with each exposure. As a result of continuous exposure, the cells in the lungs constantly alter, eventually leading to lung cancer.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - The Importance of Combination Behavioral Counseling and Medication</image:title>
<image:caption>When attempting to quit without support, less than 1 in 10 smokers are successful in quitting each year, BUT quitting with support can increase the chances of quitting by up to 80%. Combining both behavioral interventions along with nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) can decrease the number of deaths related to tobacco use. In fact, as much as ten years can be added to your life expectancy if you quit tobacco.</image:caption>
